Will it keep my cat busy while I am out?
That is what it is for. In touch mode it waits until your cat pats it, plays, then sleeps after 5 minutes. About 2 hours later it wakes once on its own for a surprise round.
What floors does it work on?
Like every small rolling toy, it is at its best on hard floors and low-pile rugs. Thick, shaggy carpet slows it down.
My cat ignores toys. Why would this be different?
Most ignored toys do not move. This one moves unpredictably, like prey, which is what switches the hunting sequence on.
Is it safe to leave out?
Supervise play at first and check the tail for wear now and then, as you would with any toy that has a soft part.
